While I have always enjoyed traveling for weddings, I can never hide my joy in staying close to home for a good San Diego Wedding. As anyone can see, this San Diego Wedding 2021 is the perfect local, ‘backyard’ celebration.
After Melissa got wedding-ready at her adorable home in Golden Hill, she and Ryan shared their first look at the Prado in Balboa Park. The weather was warm and the light along the side of the building was perfectly suited for photos! Because we weren’t along the main walkways of Balboa Park, there weren’t too many onlookers. I feel that it kept the mood intimate, despite it being a busy Saturday for a 2021 San Diego Wedding.
Once we wrapped up a few bride and groom portraits, we made our way to a family member’s home in Pacific Beach. The large backyard was the perfect spot for Melissa and Ryan to exchange vows. Afterwards, guests toasted in an intimate cocktail hour, then shared dinner at long reception tables filled with florals and eucalyptus garlands.
To wrap up the afternoon, we ducked out around the corner to Kate Sessions Park for family photos. The views from Kate Sessions are amazing from up on the hill. We found a beautiful little spot among the trees for a few more bride and groom portraits. It was such a pleasure to photograph the loveliest bride and groom!
