I feel like I have been anticipating this Tehama Golf Club Wedding forever! I first got to know Paulina and Maltish while they were living in Hawaii, planning their Carmel wedding from afar over the past year. Immediately, I knew I would adore them, both as individuals and as a couple. They are not only incredibly kind and funny, but they are equally romantic, attractive and BRILLIANT. They met during their undergrad at UCLA, where Maltish was at first a little too shy to approach Paulina. Then Paulina attended the USC School of Dentistry, and Maltish attended Harvard Medical School. Talk about a power duo! One of Maltish’s best men called them by a new couple’s nickname during his toast, completely by coincidence: Paultish! The nickname was actually quite perfect, in my opinion!

Getting Ready
Paulina and her lovely mother and bridesmaids got ready and popped champagne at an airbnb in Carmel, just minutes away from the ceremony. From now on, I think every ‘getting ready’ room should have balloon garlands in the background! Once hair and makeup was done, we headed over to the Carmel Mission for the bride and groom’s first look. I have always loved wedding ceremonies at the Carmel Mission Basilica.
Carmel Mission Basilica
The weather at the Carmel mission was warm and the light was ample for photography. Maltish and his groomsmen enjoyed sharing laughs as they finished getting ready. His reaction to seeing Paulina in her Martina Liana wedding gown for the first time was priceless.
One of my favorite moments of the day was when the bride’s sweet father, Tony walked her down the aisle. He looked so handsome and proud!

The bride and groom exchanged vows at the Carmel Mission Basilica, which is celebrating its 250th anniversary this year.

After the ceremony, we photographed the bride and groom with their families and bridal party in the Mission’s courtyard. The bride and her bridesmaids looked ethereal in their flowing gowns. I loved the colors Paulina chose for her wedding party.

Maltish and his dapper groomsmen included his brother, cousin and schoolmates.

Tehama Golf Club
After we wrapped formal photos at the Carmel Mission, we headed to the second part of the day: their Tehama Golf Club wedding! This Carmel venue is an absolute dream. Paulina’s mother and grandmother spent a lot of time preparing their reception to perfection. The tables were overflowing with varying blooms, gold and crystal. The ballroom was filled with candlelight, and twinkle lights were strung from end to end.
Guests entered the cocktail hour and were greeted with a champagne escort card wall that was customized by the groom’s sister. What a beautiful statement piece! The cocktail hour offered views of Carmel and the ocean, which set the romantic tone for the remainder of the evening.

Paulina’s mentor from Hawaii gifted the bride and groom beautiful leis during the cocktail hour.
Special thanks to Paulina’s dear friend and bridesmaid, Christine for helping us make these veil photographs so magical!

This Tehama Golf Club Wedding was the perfect setting for dancing the night away!
