There’s something effortlessly romantic about Alex and Christian’s spring wedding at Franciscan Gardens. Designed by Valentina Weddings & Events, the details of the wedding day incorporated olives (a nod to their sweet pup), touches of gold, luxury linens and delicate florals. A heartfelt ceremony in the courtyard officiated by the couple’s treasured friend made it the most memorable day.

We took a short stroll from Franciscan Gardens to the iconic Mission San Juan Capistrano for wedding portraits. The Mission serves as a breathtakingly romantic canvas, with its centuries-old stone archways, sun-drenched courtyards, and historic charm. The weathered textures and blooming gardens made every corner feel like a scene from a love story.

The wedding ceremony site at Franciscan Gardens is surrounded by towering hedges and lush greenery that create a private, intimate atmosphere. Overflowing floral arrangements created by Mai Floral Designs line the path, leading to a beautifully curated floral arch that serves as a natural focal point. The space feels both enchanting and serene—an effortlessly elegant setting for exchanging vows beneath the California sky.

The reception setup at Franciscan Gardens is the epitome of al fresco wedding elegance. Guests are seated at round tables adorned with velvet and embroidered linens and spring floral centerpieces. Natural wood chairs add a touch of warmth, perfectly complementing the romantic garden setting. Overhead, string lights cast a soft glow as evening falls. Every detail feels thoughtfully curated to create an intimate and inviting atmosphere under the open sky.

After dancing the night away with Lucky Devils Band, Alex and Christian said goodbye in style with SD Vintage Rides’ cream colored 1965 Mustang convertible.
