I had the opportunity to travel to Chicago with Patrick recently, since he had to fly over to attend a conference for work.  My in-laws and parents were kind enough to watch Riley for us, so it was a nice extended weekend away to celebrate my birthday!  We stayed at the lovely Palmer House downtown.  While Patrick was at his conference I walked around and explored the city.  I spent a lot of time at the Art Institute (getting my money’s worth!!) and Millenium Park the first day we were there.  I loved everything about Chicago: the buildings, the people, the colors, and the fall AIR!!!  Here are some of the photos I took with my 5DMII, and I’ll post others on my facebook later!  After Patrick finished up with his conference we did a lot of can’t-miss Chicago things: trying the deep dish pizza at Giordano’s, checking out the city from the top of Willis Tower, and having drinks at the Signature Lounge!
